Stefano de Peppo

Stefano de Peppo, bass-baritone, was born in Italy. After being part of the La Scala Children Chorus in Milan for 7 years he then studied Voice in Milan and moved to London to finish his studies of Music and voice at Royal College of Music and with private teachers. He then moved to Mexico City to start his career as a soloist at the famed Palacio de Bellas Artes.
Since 1990 he has sung in Opera Houses throughout the world, from many Theaters in USA (Washington Opera, Los Angeles Opera, San Diego Opera, Opera Colorado, Portland Opera, Minnesota Opera, Sarasota Opera, Arizona Opera, Austin Opera, Opera Tampa, Opera Naples, Opera Santa Barbara, Memphis Opera among others), Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Finland, Portugal, Israel, Costa Rica, Colombia.
Mr. de Peppo is known for his powerful voice, his crisp diction and his skills as an actor mostly in roles of comedies by Mozart, Rossini and Donizetti.
He sang Leporello in a televised production of Don Giovanni at Teatro Argentina in Rome which was published as a DVD winning several prizes.
Mr. de Peppo resides in New York City where he offers Italian coachings to singers while home between productions. He is often invited to hold masterclasses at universities and opera companies throughout the USA.
